Here on the Palmberg, Riesling in particular ripens, which achieves a special quality due to the exposed shell limestone and the pronounced southeast exposure.
Through the vineyards you reach a nature reserve with old boxwood stands and orchid meadows. Part of the path leads through the ravine forest in the valley of the Donverbach, which is crossed several times. Explanations about the geology of the Moselle valley and the biodiversity of the Palmberg await you on a section of the dream loop "Palmberg Wine & Nature Trail"!
At the end you will enjoy a wine tasting.
The hike is about 5 km long and takes about 2 hours, followed by a visit to a local winery (about 1 hour).
