UNESCO Walk The UNESCO Walk will take you through a striking natural environment to discover the impressive remains of the fortifications and old quarters of the city which have been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1994. You will understand the important role that the city plays in European history. Starting from La Place de La Constitution, the Promenade passes halfway up the fortifications through the La Pétrusse park, La Corniche (“the most beautiful balcony in Europe”), the ramparts and then crosses the old town.
