Fathers are always right - Theater
Fathers are always right Between 1982 and 1995, Bernard Bloch met Heiner Müller four times. It is these four encounters, fundamental for him, that he reinvents in This text, discovering the visible hero, Heiner Müller, and the hidden hero, his own father. Heiner Müller shared with Bloch's father, apart from the fact that they were both born German, an immoderate taste for cigars and irony. An irony which was undoubtedly even more desperate in his father, he who was driven out of Germany by the Nazis in 1934. But we choose several fathers in life, and as far as Bloch is concerned, Heiner Müller was undoubtedly the one of them. Author, director, actor: Bernard Bloch has a rare quality, that of always putting his own into everything he does in the theater. For his new show, Bloch invited Marc Baum to create the German version, played alternately with the French version, and Pascal Schumacher to compose music in synergy with Müller's texts.
