The diary of Hugo Heumann, who like so many other Jews had to leave his homeland in the 1930s and came to Luxembourg, is an important contemporary document that vividly traces the suffering of exile and loss of homeland, internment and deportation.
Germaine Goetzinger and Marc Schoentgen first published this diary in 2007 and are now presenting a second, expanded edition that recontextualizes the text in the light of current research findings and recently discovered documents. With a reading of the text excerpts by Marc Limpach.
