Come and discover the technique of intaglio engraving.

During this workshop, you will be able to learn the basics of the engraving technique on different recycled materials such as Tetrapak or old CDs. These surfaces allow you to easily cut surfaces, engrave and then playfully construct shapes, houses, cities or hybrids inspired by the works and the surreal world of the artist Titus Schade. Give free rein to your imagination, learn to engrave with a point, creating hollows which will be the receptacle of the ink, on a recycled material and come and ink and print your engraving on a cylinder press.

This workshop is supervised by Diane Jodes, co-founder of Empreinte, the Luxembourg engraving workshop. It is inspired by the engraving entitled “Die Fachwerkstadt” by the artist Titus Schade produced as part of his exhibition at the Konschthal.
