A Lucky Punch by Puggsley Buzzard and Tommy Lehnert, a Luxo-Australian group, does you the honor of performing at the Aalt Stadhaus to present its new album.

Pugsley Buzzard and Thommy Boy Lehnert is the meeting between a pianist-singer and a drummer. Since their first meeting in 2009, they have been performing concerts and delighting audiences at major festivals, events, concerts and tours with their boogie, their stride and their barrelhouse blues.

The duo, inspired by piano-drum duos such as Memphis Slim and Kansas Fields or Willie the Lion Smith and Jo Jones, delve into tradition and perform swinging versions of classics of the genre and original compositions sparkling with authenticity and of raw rhythmic excitement.

Recorded in 2023 in Mobidick Records Studios in the north of Portugal, and recorded by the illustrious Budda Guedes (Budda Power Blues, Trio Pagú…) the album captures the essence and energy of the duo and will make you swing until end of the night.
