Installed at the Palais des Tuileries, the Concert Spirituel is a place with which a Parisian public concert company is associated, the first of its kind, which operated from 1725 to 1790. This organization contributed to gradually moving the heart of musical life from Versailles to Paris and allowed many genres to develop, whether the secular cantata, the concerto for soloist or the symphony.

At the Concert Spirituel, the music had above all to seduce the audience. French music and Italian music coexisted there without difficulty to the point that we can speak of an authentic musical Europe.
